The Big Picture

The Rebellion

Originating over 400yrs ago in Genoa, Italy, pesto was traditionally made in a pestle and mortar by crushing fresh herbs, seeds and cheese together. Ever since pesto has been put in a box and has been limited to a handful of dishes. And while we respect the traditions behind pesto, we thought that after 400 years it was time for a change.

The fight against food waste

Not only is food waste damaging to your bank balance, but it also has a tremendous negative consequence for the environment. Our pesto will battle this issue by becoming a substitute for a cupboard full of herbs, spices and seeds that are rarely used. We’ll give you all the flavour you need in one jar that you can add to any dish, saving the world one bite at a time.
